St. Peter’ s PrayerNet has one mission: to pray for our parish community, each in our own way, and in particular, for the intentions brought to us out of concern for our brothers and sisters in Christ, and for our work of prayer. The “how” and “when” are up to you.
Why a prayer “net”? St. Peter was a fisherman, and we use the Internet and telephone to communicate our prayer needs.
By our baptism, we are already members of the communion of saints. "Being more closely united to Christ, those who dwell in heaven fix the whole Church more firmly in holiness.... They do not cease to intercede with the Father for us, as they proffer the merits which they acquired on earth through the one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus.... So by their fraternal concern is our weakness greatly helped." 1Tim2 (Catechism of the Catholic Church, Part 1, Article 9.)
