If you have been away from the Church for a while, know that St. Peter’s is always ready to welcome you home.  St. Peter’s is a warm community of faith and committed to helping anyone and everyone draw closer to Christ through the Catholic Church.  We hope that you will consider coming to Confession and Mass to begin your journey home, or think about contacting a priest to discuss whatever may be keeping you away.  We miss you and hope to see you soon!

Welcome Julie Penndorf, our new Director of Religious Education

Julie Penndorf has been a parishioner of St. Peter's since 2002, and she is thrilled to be beginning this new phase in her vocation by serving the people of her beloved parish.  She holds a BA in philosophy from The Catholic University of America as well as a Masters in Religious Education from Boston College.  The past 17 years of her career have been spent at DeMatha Catholic High School, as a Theology teacher, Director of Campus Ministry, and Theology Department chair. In 2015, Julie was honored with the Golden Apple Teaching Award by the Archdiocese of Washington. At St. Peter's, Julie has been the coordinator of Extraordinary Ministers, a contributor to children's programs for ROCKS, as well as a member of the Pastor/Parent Advisory Board for St. Peter's School.  She and her husband Jon have two children, Maggie and Nate, who attend St. Peter's school. Welcome, Julie!
