Dear parishioners,
I want to update you on my surgery. After meeting with my surgeon last week, he says I need to take six weeks for the initial recovery before returning to work. I will be leaving for NYC on October 24th in preparation for surgery on October 26th. I know you are in good hands with Father John and our staff during my absence. My hope is to return around Thanksgiving week with easing back into ministry at the beginning of December. I will keep you updated. Thank you for the many prayers and your support. I am so blessed to be your Pastor. My surgery date is the day the Church recognizes Mary as Our Lady of Victory. I share with you a Marian Prayer for Healing and Intercession that you can pray for anyone you know that is suffering and in need of healing. Let us also keep our Holy Father Pope Leo in our prayers for his healing from his recent surgery.
O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of compassion, I come to you in faith, seeking your intercession for healing. Wrap your loving arms around those who are suffering, and ask your Son, Jesus, to grant them comfort and restoration. May your gentle presence bring peace to troubled hearts and strength to those in need. Touch the hearts of caregivers and healers, granting them wisdom and compassion. May your divine mercy flow into our lives, bringing comfort to our bodies and peace to our souls. Amen.
Yours in Christ,
Father Dan
