Dear parishioners & visitors,

Saint Paul reminds us as Christians we are in the spirit when the Spirit of God dwells within us. We truly live when we live in both body and spirit. It is in the spirit, in our faith, that we find the ability to carry any burden that weighs upon us and find peace we need in our hearts. Of course, this is often easier said than done. However, if we look around us, it is often when we witness another person carrying a heavy burden, that because they live in the spirit, they do find rest. And they find peace. We in turn can find peace.

I pose this challenge to you and me. This week find at least one way, gesture, or action, where we help someone that is carrying a burden in their life. This can be as simple as sending them a card or note or giving them a call to check in. Think about it. If everyone of us did this one thing, think of how many lives would be touched by God’s love through us.

Jesus said, “No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.” We are called to be Christ. Let us reveal our loving Father by being the presence of Christ to others.

Yours in Christ,

Father Dan
